The North End has the distinction of being the city's oldest residential community, where people have lived continuously since it was settled in the 1630s. With historic sites such as the North Meeting House, the Paul Revere House and the Old North Church as well as modern creations such as the Rose-Kennedy Greenway, the North End is wonderful place to live.

The North End is accessible via mass transit, including the MBTA's Orange and Green Line at both Haymarket and North Station and by the Blue Line at Aquarium Station. There are also several bus routes that can be accessed. Since streets in the North End are narrow and short, a lot of the trips can be made within the neighborhood by walking
