Store Clothes In Your Closet, Not Dust

The accompanying Infographic shows the average house accumulates over 40 lbs. of dust every year. Dust can be found everywhere in your home, but the closet is one spot you want to make sure you take the time to dust. Closet dust can get into clothing and if you wear that clothing the dust transfers on to you.

The graphic details several points to fight back against closet dust. A great starting point with fighting dust is to remove all carpet from closets and replace with hardwood, tile, or vinyl. Carpet can be a breeding ground for dust mites, and dust can often pile up in corners and recesses that are hard to reach with a quick vacuum pass. A hard surface won’t attract much dust and will be easier to clean. For more information and tips for closet cleaning please see the below infographic.
